Juniors@ Cricket St. Thomas Golf Club
A Growing Community for Young Golfers.
The introduction of the Toptracer Driving Range, combined with the growing popularity of golf, has led to a significant increase in the number of under-18s enjoying the game at our club over the past year. In response, 2025 saw the launch of our newly formed Junior Section, created to bring younger members together through both fun and competitive events.
SUMMER COMPETITIONS & ACTIVITIES
Throughout the summer holidays, our Juniors have enjoyed a wide variety of activities each week, including:
• Individual Stablefords
• Team Scrambles
• Regular group coaching sessions
• “Pizza Nights” on the driving range
These events take place across both 8 and 18 holes, catering to golfers of all abilities.

SUPPORTING NEW GOLFERS
The Junior Section also focuses on helping newer golfers as they take their first steps on the course and work towards obtaining an official handicap. Thanks to the friendly and welcoming nature of the group, many Juniors have already supported newcomers by marking their cards, helping them achieve their first handicap and participate in competitions.

• Katie Hartley – Lead Junior Organiser, incredibly friendly and dedicated to the growth of the Juniors.
• Matt Contreras – Trainee PGA Professional & Junior Committee member providing group lessons and on-course guidance
• Steve Kew – 2025 Club Captain, helping establish the Section and fostering a thriving Junior community.

JOIN THE JUNIOR SECTION
To join the Junior Section, you must be a member of Cricket St Thomas Golf Club. Membership ensures full access to competitions, and social events. Once you’re a member:
1. Complete a form at the Pro Shop.
2. A nominated parent will be added to the Junior Section WhatsApp group to stay up to date with all upcoming events.
